Precious metal prices rise on bullish advice

Mumbai, Mar 27: Both precious metals rose further today with silver gaining by Rs 405 per kg and gold by Rs 90 per ten gm on brisk buying and strong global cues in the opening session of the Bombay bullion market here.

Gold hit a high of USD 954.50 an ounce, up from USD 949.00/949.80 late in New York yesterday, while silver rose to USD 18.39/18.44 an ounce from USD 18.35/18.40 an ounce following weak dollar and surging oil price, Singapore market report said.
