Government hospital OT staffs boycott works

Puducherry, Mar 27: Functioning of the operation theatres (OT) at government general hospital here was affected as the theatre staff boycotted work for two hours today, demanding regularisation of theatre attenders.

The staff, who gathered in front of the hospital, also staged a demonstration. Meanwhile, the Rural Workers Movement, affiliated to All India Agricultural Labourers Association, took out a march to the Legislative Assembly, demanding that the government contain the spiralling price rise of essential commodities, rollback milk price and devolve powers to the elected local body representatives.
