Night curfew still on in Manipur

Imphal, Mar 27 (UNI) The night curfew in Manipur entered its tenth day today thus marring the Yaoshang (Holi) celebrations.

Besides, incessant rains also affected the Shri Shri Bijoy Govinda Halankar observation here.

The government imposed night curfew in the valley districts from March 17 after 15 Hindi-speaking migrant workers were killed by unidentified persons in Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal and Bishenpur districts.

To avert occurrence of the carnage the government had imposed prohibitory orders in the four districts.

Though normality has been restored the government has not yet lifted the restrictions.
