Nagaland Assembly adjourned 'sine die'

Kohima, Mar 27 (UNI) The ten-day long Budget session of the 11th Nagaland Legislative Assembly concluded here today with the completion of all business transaction as Speaker Kiyanelie Peseyle adjourned the House sine die.

Discussions were held over the budget for 2008-2009, in which several Congress members, including leader of Opposition I Imkong took part. They described the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) budget as ''unrealistic, directionless, anti-poor and anti-minority.'' The House also passed the Budget 2008-2009 and the Nagaland Appropriation (No. 4) Bill, 2008 in absence of the Opposition members who staged a walkout.

The Speaker also announced the names of the Member of the House who were elected to various Assembly committee and Panel of chairman. After all business transaction was completed, the Speaker adjourned the House sine die.
