Maya congratulates army for saving Vandana
Lucknow, Mar 27 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today lauded the efforts of the army soldiers and district administration in saving two-and-a-half-year-old Vandana, who had fallen in a bore-well in Tehra village of Agra.
Appreciating the heroic efforts of the army, the CM noted it had always provided security to people at the time of emergency with exemplary courage and understanding.
She said the manner in which the entire rescue operation was carried out was commendable and the army and adminitration deserved laurels for it.
Mayawati also lauded the police and locals for their valued cooperation.
After a wait of 27 hours, Vandana was yeterday night rescued by an army team from a 45-foot-deep boring well in Saiya area, in which she had fallen on Wednesday evening.
