Mass marriage at Tiruchirapalli

Tiruchirapalli, Mar 27 (UNI) Tiruchirapalli District Collector T Soundiah today performed mass marriages of 10 poor couples, including two blind and one physically challenged couples. The event was organised by the Inner Wheel Club, here today.

Club President Malliga Sethu said the club has been undertaking various social causes for the last 22 years as part of its community development projects.

Club's former President Sembaga Ramakrishnan said, apart a golden mangal sutra weighing two gm, Rs 10,000 worth marriage gifts were also distributed to all the couples.
