Kidwai inaugurates Abdul Hameed's painting exhibition

Chandigarh, Mar 27 (UNI) Haryana Governor A R Kidwai inaugurated the drawing and painting exhibition of Abdul Hameed put up by Heritage Society of India at Punjab Kala Bhawan here today.

Dr Kidwai showed keen interest in the displayed works, which included landscapes, portraits in abstract art, water colour and acrylic colour.

The Governor appreciated Mr Hameed for his creative art and said that he represented life and culture of the people of the country especially Mewat region.

Mr Hameed, who has also exhibited his works in Oxford University, London, has displayed 65 drawings and paintings in this exhibition which will remain open till March 31.
