Gadkari condemns Nandlal's arrest
Mumbai, Mar 27 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP president Nitin Gadkari has condemned the arrest of State Chief Election Commissioner Nandlal, terming it an act of ''political revenge''.
''The arrest of Mr Nandlal is a disrespect to the Legislature and akin to strangulating the democracy,'' Mr Gadkari added.
Maharashtra legislative assembly today approved by voice vote the resolution tabled by Chandrakant Chhajed to send Mr Nandlal to two days of simple imprisonment for commiting a contempt of the House.
