EC deploys 3 observers for Khalilabad bypoll

Siddharthnagar, Mar 27 (UNI) Election Commission (EC) has deployed three observers to ensure a free and fair bypoll for the Khalilabad Lok Sabha seat on April 12.

Official sources said administrative officer (Andhra Pradesh) Savya Sanchi Ghosh had already arrived in the district, while Maharashtra's administrative officer and general observer Arun C will arrive tomorrow.

The EC has also deployed Rajiv Ranjan as financial observer.

The by-election for the Khalilabad seat was necessitated, due to the disqualification of BSP member Bhalchand Yadav under Anti-Defection Law.
