Budget will not ensure economic development: PMK
Puducherry, Mar 27 (UNI) The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) in Puducherry today said the Budget presented in the territorial Assembly by Chief Minister N Rangasamy will not ensure economic development and render social justice.
In a statement here, PMK parliamentary party leader and state Secretary M Ramadass said the Budget was the one prepared amid several confusions. If the suggestions given by the PMK were included, the Chief Minsiter could have presented a ''good Budget,'' he said.
Welcoming the move of the Government to introduce e-tender system and setting up of special industrial estate for Scheduled Castes students, Prof Ramadass said it was disappointing that no schemes were mentioned to achieve nine per cent economic development.
This was an Action Taken Report (ATR) on last year's Budget, he said.
