Blasts rock ordnance factory in MP

Hoshangabad, MP, Mar 27 (UNI) Two successive explosions have occurred in an ordnance factory's propellant unit in this district's Itarsi but providentially no injury was reported.

Sources said that the first blast took place last night in a building containing a considerable amount of explosive material and the cause was unclear. Immediately after the explosion, about 10 employees working there exited the building. The second blast followed sometime later and the building caught fire.

An Indian Army fire engine rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control in about an hour. The factory management was unavailable for comment.
