Be positive, progressive: Rahul tells youths
Hubli, Mar 27 (UNI) AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi today called upon the youth to be progressive and positive and take the country on the path of fast paced growth.
Addressing students of Anjuman-e-Islam Polytechnic in the city, he said his tour to Karnataka during the last two days was a great experience.
''I am touring your state for the last two days, talking to people and trying to understand their problems and learn about Karnataka. I am very happy to come to this state. Wherever I go, I see schools colleges and students. I feel very happy to be here,'' he said.
Karnataka was a very progressive state in the country, he said, adding, ''People of the state and Bangalore had brought a good name for the country. For that, the whole country is grateful to you people.'' Meanwhile, a large number of mediapersons were denied entry into the school for the programme.
The AICC General Secretary also visited Nittur Technical Training Foundation in Dharwad this morning and interacted with the students.
Later, he went on a 'roadshow' in the city and waved to the people who lined up on either side of the streets.
He would also visit Ron town in Gadag district later today.
