Bauxite worth 5.83 cr stolen near Jamnagar
Jamnagar, Mar 27 (UNI) Bauxite worth Rs 5.83 crore was stolen from government-owned land at Virpur village near Kalyanpura, about 160 Km from here, over a period of time.
Jam Kalyanpura Geology Department In-charge Royalty Inspector Pravin Sharma discovered the theft of 1,76,000 metric tonnes of bauxite only on February 14 last and lodged a complaint with the police accordingly.
Police is interrogating two suspects in this regard but no arrests have been made so far, sources said.
