Assembly passes 36 demands for grants
Hyderabad, Mar 27 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Assembly today passed the demands for grants to 36 departments by voice vote after the main opposition TDP, CPI and CPI(M) staged a walkout over a Government resolution to repeal the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act.
The House also adopted by voice vote the supplementary estimates of expenditure for 2007-08, moved by Finance Minister K Rosaiah, without any discussion.
Earlier, the Speaker announced that eighth, ninth and tenth reports of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on the Comptroller and Auditor General of India reports (civil and revenue receipts) and appropriation accounts were deemed to have been placed by PAC chairman Y Ramakrishnudu.
