Arun Nanda gets 'Chevallier de la Legion d'Honneur' award

Mumbai, Mar 27 (UNI) Arun Nanda, Executive Director, Mahindra and Mahindra has been conferred with the 'Chevallier de la Legion d'Honneur' award by President of the French Republic, Mr Nicholas Sarkozy.

The French President wishes to pay tribute to Mr Nanda by conferring this distinction on him for his remarkable career in the business community and his contribution to the establishment of partnership between Mahindra and Renault, French Ambassador to India, Mr Jerome Bonnafont informed, in an official release here today.

Commenting on the award, Mr Nanda said, ''It is indeed a great honour to be considered worthy of the 'Chevallier de la Legion d'Honneur'. It was truly my privilege to be a part of the Mahindra group for 35 years which has given me the platform to build the French connection.'' UNI NV SR Mir RK2046
