Amritsar quarries attract Rs 188 lakh
Chandigarh, Mar 27 (UNI) Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Manoranjan Kalia today stated that quarries of the Amritsar district has attracted bids totaling Rs 188 lakh, an increase of about five times revenue as compared to the bid of Rs 32 lakh of quarries in 2002.
The sand quarries were put to auction in the office of General Manager cum Mining Officer, District Industries Centre, Amritsar on Tuesday, Mr Kalia said in a press release.
The auction was conducted as per the terms and conditions of the auction notice issued on February 2, under supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar.
