11 SIMI members arrested
Indore, Mar 27 (UNI) A total of 11 members of banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) were arrested by a special police squad last night at neighbouring Dhar district's Peethampur town.
Police said that SIMI's former secretary Safdar Nagouri and Kamruddin Nagouri and few active workers from Maharashtra and Karnataka were among those arrested.
Seven pistols and other weapons were seized from them.
SIMI was suspected to be involved in the Mumbai local trains' blasts last year.
