100 kids fall ill after consuming Mid Day Meal

Mirzapur, Mar 27 (UNI) About 100 children took ill after having food served under the Mid Day Meal Scheme in Kachwa area of this Uttar Pradesh district today.

The incident occurred at Karhar Primary School, where about 100 children turned ill after having the food served under the scheme.

The children were admitted to hospital, where doctors reported them to be out of danger.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Mohd Mustafa said Kachwa police, along with food department, had been entrusted with the responsibility to probe the matter.

He said if the need arose, the accused would be booked under relevant sections.
