Two arrested with 15 kg opium
Nawada, Mar 26 (UNI) Two people were today arrested for possessing 15 kgs of opium from separate police station areas in the district.
Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar here said acting on a tip off raids were conducted at Murhaina village under Rajauli police station and one Rajendra Choudhary was arrested.
Police also recovered 15 kg opium worth some few lakhs in the international market.
In another incident, police also seized 100 gram of opium seeds and plants from the house of one Dwarika Singh at Bahuara village under Sirdala police station area.
Police said the arrested was illegaly cultivating opium in his fields, which were destroyed by the sleuths.
