Tension prevails in Karnataka over desecration of idol
Hubli, Mar 26 (UNI) Alleged desecration of an idol during Holi celebrations, resulted in tension at byadgitown in haveri distrcit here today.
Police said the trouble started during 'Ranga Panchami' celebrations yesterday and prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC had been clamped in the town.
Meanwhile a group of people, protesting against the order, pelted stones at the police and ransacked the Government Hospital here.
Security had been tightened in the area, police added.
