Polaris launches 'Smart Store' for retail business

New Delhi, Mar 26: Polaris Software Lab Ltd today said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Polaris Retail Infotech Ltd (PRIL), has launched its retail software, Smart Store, for small retail businesses. Smart Store, the first packaged retail software for small retail segments, will help retailers to automate vendor, purchase and stock management functions, maintain accounts and tax, host customer loyalty program and other day-to-day services.

The software is preconfigured to match the requirements of various retail verticals such as fashion and apparels, footwear, pharmacy, hard goods and consumer durables, Grocery and FMCG, food and vegetables, books and music stores etc, a company statement said.

''The market for retail in India has an estimated CAGR of 44 per cent. PRIL is on an aggressive growth path and with the launch of Smart Store the company is all geared to tap the booming SME retail market in Asia Pacific,'' PRIL Business Head, Mohit Oberoi said.

PRIL's software solution for large and medium retail players, Retail Excel is used by over 100 customers, in 2,000 stores across 15,000 billing counters.
