Obopay, Yes Bank launches mobile payment services
Mumbai, Mar 26 (UNI) Obopay India, a leading global player in mobile payment services, in association with private sector lender Yes Bank, today announced the launch of their mobile payment solutions.
Initially, the Yes Bank's 70,000 customers would be able to make payment of their mobile bills as well as money transfer of upto Rs 25,000 through mobile handsets enabled with GPRS connectivity. The uniqueness of this service lies in the mode of transaction that would be based on the user's mobile numbers, Obopay Executive Director Aditya Menon told mediapersons, here today.
Mr Menon said, ''As people get comfortable and confident about the service, we will increase the limit of transaction amount and will launch few other services like remittance services.'' Obopay is looking for new tie-ups with atleast five banks, including public and private sector banks, to launch similar services in India, Mr Menon stated.
