NZ aims to strengthen trade ties with India
New Delhi, Mar 26 (UNI) New Zealand today called for enhanced trade relations with India as it inaugurated its second office of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) in Mumbai today.
This second office signifies the strengthening of trade relationship between the two countries, said New Zealand's Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Biosecurity and Fisheries Jim Anderton.
NZTE already has an office in New Delhi.
''The institution of new office of NZTE in Mumbai reflects the city's importance as a hub for western and southern India.
The inauguration of the new office is reflective of increased focus on opportunities in the region and growing interest in this vast market from New Zealand companies,'' said Mr Anderton.
The Mumbai office will support New Zealand's international trade programmes and growth strategies, including supporting the India Beachheads Advisory Board.
Mr Anderton is in India, leading a trade mission for the wood and building industry.
