Mulayam gets another term as SP chief

Jabalpur, Mar 26 (UNI) Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav was unanimously chosen as the Samajwadi Party President for three years during the SP's three-day national convention that underway here today.

Mr Yadav's name was proposed by SP Parliamentary Party leader Ramgopal Yadav and supported by all members of the National Executive.

SP Vice-President Gyaneshwar Mishra, General Secretary Amar Singh, MPs Jaya Bachchan, Jayaprada and other leaders congratulated Mr Yadav while workers raised slogans. Mr Yadav was honoured with a gold crown.
