Man throws outfit at CM's convoy, creates flutter
Chennai, Mar 26 (UNI) A 40-year-old man created a flutter as he removed his shirt and 'dhoti' and threw them at the convoy of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi this morning.
The Chief Minister was proceeding to the Assembly when the man, identified as Vellaichamy, hailing from Karaikudi in southern Sivaganga district, created the flutter.
Police said he was sitting on the lawn, few yards away from the Secretariat's main gate, when he suddenly got up, removed his shirt and 'dhoti' and ran towards the convoy, and thrrw them at the Chief Minister's car.
He was arrested by the police. Enquiries revealed that he had applied for a house site patta and became frustrated that he could not get the same. He threw the dress at the convoy to draw the attention of the Chief Minister, he told the police.
