Kangra airport to have night landing facilities
Dharamshala, Mar 26 (UNI) Airport Authority of India has finally decided to have night landing facilities at the Kangra airport in order to provide better air link between Kangra and rest of the country.
The AAI would undertake creating infrastructure for this purpose by the beginning of the next financial year.
Aerodrome Officer S K Sharma today told UNI that work contract for creating infrastructure for night landing would be awarded shortly and the needed equipment would be installed to provide night landing facility on this airport.
He said that after the airport would have this facility this airport would come on the map of the important airports of the country.
He said that on April 6, last year Air Deccan had started its regular flight between Delhi and Kangra which remained successful and from April 7, this year MDLR Airlines would start a regular flight of the 70 seater aircraft between Delhi and Kangra.
Mr Sharma said that the 70 seater aircraft would take off from Delhi at 1100 hrs and would land here at 1140 hrs. From the Kangra airport it would take off at 1210 hrs.
