K T Mohammed laid to rest
Kozhikode, Mar 26 (UNI) Mortal remains of famed playwright and former Chairman of Kerala Film Development Corporation (KFDC) K T Mohammed, were buried with full state honours amid presence of a large gathering, including his friends and relatives here this evening.
Earlier, hundreds of people from all walks of life paid tributes to the dramtist, who died last night at 79, following lung disease, at the town hall in the city.
Mohammed, who had about 60 works, including 40 dramas, to his credit, was conferred with many awards, including Kendra Sahitya Academy, Kerala Sahitya Academi and Madras Sahitya Academy for his outstanding contribution to the literary field.
He had also served as the Chairman of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academi for a brief period.
