Jeweller shot dead in Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh

Jaunpur, Mar 26: The bullet-riddled body of a jeweller was recovered from a 'nallah' in Khetasarai area here today. Jeweller Vijay Soni's family had lodged an complaint, when he did not reach home late last night, police said.

He closed his shop in Anand Bazar and left for home along with some cash and jewellery, but on the way was robbed of and shot dead. Police recovered his body from a 'nallah' at Dobhi village this morning.

Anand Bazar remained closed today in protest against the killing.
