Five-member interstate gang busted

Jalandhar, Mar 26 (UNI) Punjab Police today arrested five members of an interstate gang of thieves and also recovered stolen material worth over Rs two lakh from their possession.

Police said the thieves identified as Majib Ullah, Bablu Khan, Rahul, Rajinder Soni and Hardeep Singh, on prior information were arrested from a check post on Jalandhar-Amritsar Highway near Bhagat Singh colony here this afternoon.

A case has been registered against the accused and further investigations were on, police said.
