DYFI volunteers hold fast for Minister's removal

Puducherry, Mar 26 (UNI) The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) volunteers led by All India President Sriramakrishnan began a 24-hour fast at the Mahe Municipal Grounds this evening to press for the removal of Health Minister E Valsaraj.

According to reports reaching the police headquarters here from Mahe, Mr Sriramakrishnan said the DYFI had planned a march to the Puducherry Legislative Assembly shortly.

Today's fast was to press for the resignation or removal of Mr Valsaraj against whom the Vigilance and Anti-corruption police had registered cases.
