15-year-old girl kidnapped, raped

Palanpur, Mar 26 (UNI) A fifteen-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped by four youth and raped by one of them, near Tharad village in Banaskantha district of Gujarat.

Police sources said an FIR was filed as per the complaint filed by the victim with the Mavasari police station today.

In her complaint, she has said four youth--Uma Sajana Harijan, Babu Bhemabhai Vankar, Pravin Murubhai and Hansabhai Nagji, all between the ages of 20 to 22, kidnapped her at a knife-point yesterday.

All the four took her to Tharad in a bus. They alighted from the bus and took her in a bush, near Bapu's Ashram, where Vankar raped her, while others watched the incident, the victim said.

A case under IPC sections 366, 363, 273, 376, 506 (b) and 114 have been registered and hunt had been launched to nab the culprits, police said.
