Tibet a challenge to world conscience: Pelosi

New Delhi, March 21, 2008 : Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi in Dharamsala on March 21 said that the free world will have lost its moral authority to speak about human rights if it did not speak up against Chinese oppression in Tibet.

Tibet's largest anti-China protests in two decades broke out on March 10, sparking riots in Lhasa, demonstrations in nearby ethnic Tibetan provinces and daily pro-Tibet protests around the world.
