Muslims in India celebrate Eid-ul-Milad
Shrinagar, March 21, 2008 : Hazratbal shrine in Indian Kashmir wore a festive air on March 20 as a large number of people thronged the shrine to offer prayers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Milad, which marks the birthday of Prophet Mohammed.
Eid-ul-Milad, is also known as Barah Wafat, which is both the birth and death anniversary of Prophet Mohammad. The festival falls on the 12th day of Rabi-ul-Awwal, which is the third month of the Islamic year.
