SAP witnesses strong traction in SMEs

Ahmedabad, Mar 25 (UNI) SAP, a leading business software company, has witnessed strong traction in small and medium enterprises (SME) in India in 2007-08 with more than 1,500 customers signing with SAP in the past twelve months.

Announcing this here today, SAP Indian sub-continent Vice President (Marketing) Nagaraj Bhargava said, ''We have been working closely with Indian SMEs over the years to understand their business needs and growth aspirations. We know that Indian SMEs want an enterprise technology solution that not only incorporates industry's best-practices into the organisation but also acts as the foundation for competitive differentiation.'' The solutions must continue to remain relevant and deliver business benefits even as the SMEs grow over the years and seek ways to increase efficiency through automation of processes, standardising procedures and creating a single integrated platform.

The companies are looking for solutions that are simple, easy to deploy and can be customised, he said.

The Company has already achieved a customer base of 2,300 in the SME space and has achieved strong foothold in the SME market in India, Mr Bhargava added.
