Kuwait approves employment contract of Indian workers
New Delhi, Mar 25 (UNI) Kuwait has approved the employment contract of thousands of Indian workers going to the oil-rich emirate for work in the private sector.
Following the decision, the Indian embassy in Kuwait today resumed attestation of work contracts of workers going to Kuwait, officials said here.
The step followed discussions between Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed and the Kuwaiti Prime Minister.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry had formally communicated to the Indian embassy the approval of the Employment Contract prepared by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour of the State of Kuwait.
''This will help thousands of workers who were denied the opportunities in Kuwait,'' the officials said.
