Govt to declare expenditure on farmer's relief package

Mumbai, Mar 25 (UNI) The Maharashtra Government will declare the details of expenditure in the Legislative Council about the funds used for relief of farmers in the state through Prime Minister's and Chief Minister's relief packages.

Agricultural Minister Balasaheb Thorat announced this today during the question hour in the council and said that details will be made available to the members in the ongoing session itself, and will contain the district-wise distribution of funds.

Leader of Opposition Pandurang Phundkar had earlier alleged that there was massive corruption in disbursal of funds and 80 complaints were received about malpractice in distribution. He also sought a white paper on the issue.
