Four Indian students win Danfoss global art award

Ahmedabad, Mar 25 (UNI) Making their mark on an international level, four Indian students, including three from Gujarat, have emerged as proud winners of the Danfoss International Art Award, in Denmark last week.

Sandip Palkar from M S University, Baroda won the gold medal for his entry ''Dataar 2'', a trademark remix showcasing the amalgamation of old and new technology along with his interpretation of the Danfoss value ''Passionate about technology''.

The other winners are Sagar Desai from Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology, Surat and Sunil Gupta from Banaras Hindu University, who won silver medals, while Krishna Nag from Kanoria Centre of Arts, Ahmedabad won a bronze medal.

Instituted in 2007, the international art award is a global contest that invites students to creatively express the mission statement, values and aspirations of Danfoss group, a leader in the production and development of components and solutions for refrigeration, heating and motion controls.

India had the highest number of entries with 42 per cent of a total 454 entries from 28 countries.
