Extremist detained under Goondas Act in TN

Ariyalur (Tamil Nadu), Mar 25: Ariyalur District Collector Sudalaikannan has ordered detention of an activist of the banned Tamils Liberation Movement, under the Goondas Act.

Police said today M Senthikumar, alias Senthil, a resident of R S Mathur and member of the outlawed extremist outfit was involved in extortion and kidnapping. Several cases were pending against him at different police stations in various places of Tamil Nadu.

On the recommendation of the district police administration, the Collector ordered his detention under the Goondas Act, police said.
