Doctors cannot be held only on FIR basis: UP govt

Lucknow, Mar 25 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government has asked the police officials to follow a Supreme Court order, whereby in case of death of a patient, doctors could not be arrested on the mere basis of an FIR.

UP Director General of Police (DGP) Vikram Singh today issued a circular in this regard.

All the district police heads had been directed to follow this SC order.
