Bank of India to launch mobile banking
Mumbai, Mar 25 (UNI) In order to mobilise greater access to its customers, state-run Bank of India (BoI) today said it will soon launch its mobile bannking service across the country.
The service will instantly let customers get, send and spend money anywhere, anytime with anyone in a fast mode and at at very low cost, the bank said adding, ''It is now a safe, fast and convenient way to do various banking activities including sending and receiving money. What come with it, is speed, accessibility, reliability and effective service.'' The new mobile banking system can do many things, from checking balance, verifying transaction history to utility bill payments like electricity, telephone or gas and also allows customers to shop around for movie tickets, download ringtones, collect money from friends, pay at restaurants etc, BoI release said.
Bank of India proposes to take advantage of mobile telephony and provide virtual banking services to Rural India as well, it added.
