AIADMK terms Lt Governor's address as ''waste''

Puducherry, Mar 25 (UNI) Terming the Puducherry Lt Governor's address to the Territorial Assembly as a ''waste,'' AIADMK State Secretary A Anbazhagan today said it was aimed at cheating the public.

In a statement here, Mr Anbazhagan alleged that the government was not functioning properly and had no moral right to continue in power.

He alleged that the schemes announced in the last year's Lt Governor's address were not implemented yet. The government had not announced any scheme to curb price rise, alleviate poverty and generate employment opportunities, he said.

The government had obtained Rs 350 crore loan in the last three months, proving ''inefficiency'', he added.
