TDP suspends senior leader from party
Hyderabad, Mar 24 (UNI) The opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh today suspended senior leader and former minister K Vidyadhara Rao from the party for alleged 'anti party' activities.
According to the party sources here, TDP President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, suspended Mr Rao from the party after holding the politburo meeting at the party headquarters NTR Trust Bhavan.
Mr Rao's recent remarks on TDP leadership had irked the party cadre. The senior leader was suspended from the party as a disciplinary action, sources said.
Mr Rao hailing from West Godavari district has served the TDP ever since the party was floated by late matinee idol N T Rama Rao in 1983.
