TCS to provide e-sinature platform to US-based PFI

Mumbai, Mar 24 (UNI) Information Technology (IT) major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today announced that it has been selected by a US-based financial service provider Prudential Financial Inc (PFI) for providing electronic signature platform -- 'FormSigner PRO'.

The electronic signature engine, built on the platform that enables relatively seamless integration with existing PFI applications, would allow the company's Individual Life Insurance business to sign documents electronically, a TCS release said today.

The financial industry is picking up in the area of e-signing and minimising the requirement of client-side hardware such as signature pads. It might result into tremendous cost savings and convenience for the industry, TCS Information Risk Management Practice Global Head Dr Kamlesh Bajaj said.

Digital signatures would provide persistent evidence that a transaction has been authorized, helping businesses avoid any legal difficulties or loss of revenue, resulting from a business dispute, Dr Bajaj added.

FormSigner PRO is an advanced digital certificate-based application providing authentication, non-repudiation and integrity to online forms, uploaded documents and Web pages, he added.
