New PPCC President assumes office

Puducherry, Mar 24 (UNI)Former Speaker of the territorial Assembly A V Subramanian, who was appointed as the new Pondicherry Pradesh Congress Committee President assumed office here this evening.

Earlier, Mr Subramanian garlanded the statue of all leaders, including Rajiv Gandhi.

He was brought to the PCC office from the Rajiv Gandhi square in an open jeep with the Congress volunteers taking out a procession.
