New Pakistani PM-elect orders release of detained judges
Islamabad, Mar 24 (UNI) Pakistani Prime Minister-elect Sayyed Yusuf Raza Gillani today ordered the release of all deposed judges detained by President Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf during emergency with immediate effect.
''I order the immediate release of detained judges of the superior judiciary,'' Mr Gillani told the National Assembly, shortly after it overwhelmingly voted for him to become prime minister.
