Kolhapur experiences rains for 4th consecutive day

Kolhapur, Mar 24 (UNI) Thundershowers lashed the Western Maharashtra city of Kolhapur and its suburbs for the fourth consecutive day today.

Heavy rains were reported from other parts of the district today.

The rains are likely to cause huge losses to crops like jowar, grape, wheat and sugarcane and also adversely affect the jaggery production.

Thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds, had last night damaged shops and houses at Gokul Shirgaon on the city's outskirts.
