Jayanthi Natarajan receives RS election certificate

Chennai, Mar 24 (UNI) Congress candidate Jayanthi Natarajan, who was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from the Tamil Nadu Assembly, today received her election certificate.

Ms Natarajan came to the State Secretariat and received the certificate from Legislative Assembly Secretary and Returning Officer M Selvaraj.

Ms Natarajan, along with five other candidates were elected unopposed to the Upper House of Parliament after the last date of withdrawal of nominations on March 19.

While the DMK nominees A A Jinnah and Vasanthi Stanley, CPI(M) Candidate T K Rengarajan and AIADMK's N Balaganga received their election certificates on that day, Ms Natarajan received it today.

The other Congress nominee and Union Minister G K Vasan is yet to receive the election certificate. He was expected to receive it in the next couple of days.
