Indian ambassador to Nepal meets PM Koirala
Kathmandu, Mar 24: Nepalese Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today held discussions with Indian ambassador to Nepal Shiv Shankar Mukherjee on the current political situation of the Himalayan nation.
Discussion on various issues including the preparations for the constituent Assembly to be held on April 10 and Indian government's assistance were discussed during the meeting. Mr Koirala urged Mukherjee to beef up security along the India-Nepal borders to avert possible criminal activities during the polls, local media quoted officials as saying.
Meanwhile, Armed Police Force Inspector General of Police Basu Dev Oli briefed the Prime Minister about the security management adopted in order to ensure smooth conduction of the crucial CA polls.
