Govt promotes village industries to help artisans
Hyderabad, Mar 24 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government has been promoting the village industries to help the artisans, state Minister for Small Scale Industries and Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) G Surya Rao said.
Inaugurating the 15-day exhibition-cum-sale of the village products, organised by the KVIB here, he said the state Government would invest Rs 100 crore and a subsidy of Rs 26 crore for promoting the small and village industries in the state.
The KVIB was the lifeline of rural people, providing livelihood for lakhs of people, he added.
He said the Government had decided to organise exhibitions for the upliftment of village artisans in the future.
