Baljit Singh new BSF chief in Kashmir frontier

Srinagar, Mar 24 (UNI) Mr Baljit Singh has taken over as chief of Border Security Force (BSF) in the Kashmir frontier zone today.

Mr Singh, a highly decorated officer having conferred with police medal for meritorious service and presidents medal for distinguished service, took the charge here from M I Khan.

He had the privilege of leading the Indian police team for World police and fire games in 1999 at Stockholm, Sweden, as team manager and also the Indian aquatic team for the 4th Asian Age group championship held at Bangkok in 2005.
